COVID-19 MEASURES AND HOW THEY AFFECT FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
I am delighted to confirm that, in line with the government’s announcement on 22nd February, I am now able to take bookings for all types of photography
Any sessions booked have a Covid-safe guarantee. It means, you can reschedule for free if required or receive a full refund of your session fee.

This post will help.
Here are some details about my current working policies.
As part of our commitment to providing a safe working environment for all on one of our photoshoots during the unprecedented, fast-changing COVID 19 situation, I need to know that you have read, and understood the following statements as part of your agreement with working with Avocado Photography.
The safety of your family during my photo sessions has always been at the top of my professional priorities.
NEW MEASURES AND HOW THEY AFFECT YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
Outdoor photo sessions lend themselves very well to social distancing because of the open spaces in which we shoot. I will carry out all outdoor sessions in accordance to current rules and advice, including:
- Keeping a 2-metre (or greater) safe distance from you at all times (A telephoto lens is used to photograph clients from a safe distance during a session.)
I know plenty of great outdoor locations, including a number that are quiet, unspoiled and largely secluded – therefore ideal to keep our distances away from others! To check availability for your preferred date, please use the form below to contact me.
- I will bring alcohol hand sanitiser for use when we are in locations where hand washing facilities are unavailable.
- Don’t worry, I will not make any physical contact with you during the session.
- As per government COVID-19 guidelines, it is not mandatory to wear face masks outdoors, but you may bring your own to wear between photos if you wish to. I won’t be wearing a mask as we will be socially distanced, and in the open air already. This will mean I look less intimidating to children, and that you will be able to hear my instructions more clearly, as I shall be quite far from you for most of the session.
- I will arrive at the location in my own car and not take any public transport
Studio Sessions
- I will try my best to keep a two-meter distance at all times and will be wearing a face-covering at all times whilst in the studio.
- Hand sanitiser are available for you to use on entering studio.
- Surfaces that you may have come in contact with are cleaned with alcohol-based antibacterial wipes between sessions
- My studio bin will be emptied between every client
- Don’t arrive early for appointments, please.
- Don’t bring additional people to appointments, please.
- I will only have 1 family in each day to allow time before and after each client to fully clean my studio
COVID-19 AND YOUR PHOTOSHOOT- All Sessions
- All paperwork such as contracts and questionnaires are prepare in envelope and were on quarantine for 72hours before session.
- Please DO NOT attend the photoshoot if you are displaying any symptoms related to COVID-19 such as fever, high temperature, shortness of breath, cough or if any members of your household have had these symptoms in the past 10 days.
- If I or anyone in my home or anyone I have come into contact with is unwell I will reschedule all shoots for 14 days.
- I will contact you the morning of the session by text message to confirm that no one in your family is displaying any of the following symptoms:
– a raised temperature of 37.8 degrees +
– a recent onset of a new continuous cough
– loss of, or change in, sense of smell or taste (anosmia)
A new continuous cough is where you:
– have a new cough that’s lasted for an hour
– have had 3 or more episodes of coughing in 24 hours
– are coughing more than usual
- All my photographic equipment will be cleaned.
- I will use hand sanitiser on arrival, throughout the session and on departure
